THE HISTORY BEHIND THE GLOVE
Over the years, it became apparent that the fire service would be washing gear more often in the pursuit of cancer mitigation. What was needed was a glove that would not dry out, stiffen or shrink after repeated wash/dry cycles. It was time for an all-fabric glove. Over two years of development and wear trials went into the final product. Firecraft Safety developed a proprietary process that coats Kevlar® with a special silicone that provides a firm, secure grip wet or dry. They took great care to design patterns that would provide a dexterous, and functional glove. The Flame® was built to endure longer exposure to heat; both conductive and radiant. Using Kevlar® and Nomex® materials offers high levels of puncture and cut protection. The Flame® glove, is a unique improvement in hand protection. The Flame® glove is made entirely of aramid and carbon-based materials. Firecraft provides a lifetime guarantee on the moisture barrier and on the integrity of the liner against inversion. The FireCraft Safety Flame has tons of features and benefits are available in 9 sizes, with either a gauntlet cuff or a Kevlar wristlet. Cadet sizing (1/2" shorter finger) is also available. By introducing an easy to use Velcro strap, the glove will always feel snug, resulting in greater comfort and dexterity.
