FORTEM firefighter helmet light that is intrinsically safe. A fully self contained firefighter helmet light that is the most versatile choice for helmet-mounted hands free operation from a flashlight. One of the brightest available lights at 250 lumens it is powerful enough to cut through dense, thick smoke. It's IP67 rated so it stands up to water, smoke, dirt, grime, bumps, hits, strikes, and well just about anything you can throw at it or throw it at!

But here is what makes this different from other firefighter helmet mounted flashlights... The FORTEM has a dual light capability similar to other flashlights. At 115 lumens the additional downward angle flood light allows you to see while you are walking, crawling, or kneeling without only lighting up the area that your head is pointing. Light distance with your main light and light your immediate area with your secondary light. Do both at the same time. Extend the life if your battery if you don't need it's awesome full power punched bright lights and knock down the brightness from 250 lumens, to 100 lumens, and finally 25 lumens on low.

The floodlight feature has the same function from 115, to 50 and finally 10. This feature can be activated by simply pressing and holding the power button. The FORTEM also has a green LED light in the rear so that others can easily identify your fire company in smoke filled or really dusty environments. If you already have a composite fire helmet or leather fire helmet, no worries there either. The FORTEM will fit any fire helmet (or side brim hard hat) regardless of weather it has an up-turned or down-turned brim thanks to the multi-angle adjustment feature that allows the user to fine tune the exact position and angle of the light. This feature makes it possible to not only avoid goggles, face shields and other helmet-worn gear, but also place the light exactly where it's needed. The 5466 is IP-67 rated dustproof/waterproof and meets the requirement for NFPA-1971-8.6 (2013). Power comes from 2 included CR-123 batteries.
