The base is made from a very durable and rugged polycarbonate base. The strobe beacon base will stand temperature changes and the same conditions you stand. The lens is tough too and is made with a double Fresnel polycarbonate lens. This strobe beacon is TOUGH! If you need some staying power for your strobe beacon but can't use a permanent mount, the magnetic mount will be a better option for you. Don't worry about scratching the paint on the top of your vehicle, because with the rubber base that's included with the strobe beacon, you can have magnetic staying power. Remote or self-contained models are available as well. A remote model will require an external strobe power supply to operate while the self-contained version has a built-in power supply providing two user selectable flash patterns, Double or Quad Flash. No need to worry about CA Title 13 requirements when you use our Clear Dust Cover (# E36ØDC6). With 4" and 6" dome heights these versatile beacons are a great fit for school and transit buses, emergency vehicles, and for use on larger sized manufacturing environment equipment.
